Laboratory Assistant Grade III – University of Colombo(UOC) – Colombo 03

• The selected candidate will be a member of the University Provident Fund and the University Pension Scheme. He/She will contribute 10% of his/her monthly salary to the University Provident Fund and at the same time, the employer will make a total contribution equal to 15% of the employee’s salary. Out of this, 8% will be credited to the University Pension Fund and 7% to the University Provident Fund. The University will contribute three (37) percent of the salary to the Employees’ Trust Fund in accordance with the provisions of the Employees’ Trust Fund Act, No. 46 of 1980. In addition, government-approved allowances applicable to the University system will be paid.

• All applications must be signed by the applicant and in addition, certified copies of relevant educational, professional, extracurricular certificates, service certificates, birth certificate and national identity card should be sent to the Senior Assistant Registrar/Non-Academic Institutions, University of Colombo, 94, Kumaratunga Munidasa Mawatha, Colombo 03 by registered post on or before 08.06.2026. All certificates should be certified by an executive level officer in the government service, a Justice of the Peace, a Commissioner of Oaths, or the Grama Niladhari of the area where the clergyman holds a permanent residence.
• The post applied for should be clearly mentioned on the top left corner of the envelope in which the application is sent. Incomplete, handwritten, applications not accompanied by certified copies of relevant certificates in proof of qualifications and experience, applications submitted using other forms or applications received after the closing date for applications will be rejected. Applications so rejected will not be reconsidered under any circumstances.
• Applicants from government departments, corporations and/or other legally established bodies must submit their applications through the Head of Institution of those institutions and applications not submitted through the Head of Institution will be rejected.
