Basic Qualifications

• Should be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
• Every applicant should be excellent in character and in good mental and physical order to serve in any part of the island and to discharge duties and functions.
• Age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 45 years.

Educational Qualifications

• Should pass the General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) Examination in six (06) subjects with two (02) credit passes in one sittings.
