Should be between 18-30 years

04. Educational Qualifications:

(a) Should have passed the G.C.E. (Adv. Level) Examination in three subjects in one sitting with two subjects relevant to the field in the Science/Mathematics/Technology subject stream
And

(a) Should have passed the General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) Examination in six (06) subjects in one sitting with credit passes in Sinhala/Tamil /English language, Science and for another subject.

Professional Qualifications
National Diploma in Technology awarded by the University of Moratuwa or Hardy Institute of Ampara

Or
National Diploma in Engineering awarded by the National Aprenticeship and Technical Training Authority
Or

Higher National Diploma in Engineering awarded by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education
Or

Two Year Diploma in Agriculture awarded by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission
Or

Diploma in Technology awarded by the Open University of Sri Lanka
Or

vi. Should have successfully completed l'art 1 of the Engineering Examination conducted by the Sri Lanka Institute of Engineers
Or

vii. Should have completed the NVQ Level 6 relevant to employment field
Or

viii. Obtaining a technical qualification recognized by the Tertiary und Vocational Ralucation Commission as similar to the above technical qualifications in every manner ufter obtaining the opinion of the Ministry of Higher Education and institutions issuing the above mentioned technical certificates.

05. Experience: Will be considered as a special qualification

06. Physical Fitness: Should be physically and mentally fit to serve in any part of the island

07. Others:

(a) Should be a citizen of Sri Lanka
(b) Applicants should bear an excellent moral character
(e) Any clergymen of any religious denomination is disqualified for sitting this cxamination
(d) Applicants should have fulfilled the qualifications in every ons in every manner as at the date mentioned in the notice calling for applications that should have been fulfilled for recruitment to the post
