VACANCY-HEADMASTER/HEADMISTRESS

• S. Thomas' College, Bandarawela, a member of the Thomian family of schools including S. Thomas' College Mt. Lavinia, S. Thomas' Preparatory School Kollupitiya and S. Thomas' College Gurutalawa, invites applications for the post of Headmaster /Headmistress.
• Founded in 1942, the College maintains the Thomian tradition of academic excellence, discipline, character formation, and service, while providing an education that prepares students for the modern challenges of Sri Lanka and the world.

Requirements

• Applicants should:
• Be over 40 years of age
• Possess a degree from a recognized university (postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage)
• Have at least 10 years' experience in secondary school teaching and school management
• Be familiar with national education policies and modern learning systems
• Possess strong leadership, administrative, and communication skills
• Demonstrate the ability to lead and develop the College within the Anglican ethos and Thomian traditions

Responsibilities

• The selected candidate will lead and manage the College under the supervision of the Board of Governors, fostering academic excellence, holistic education, staff development, and the well-being of students while strengthening the school community and implementing the Board's strategic vision.

Remuneration

• Salary based on qualifications and experience. Includes an official residence near the school with staff, plus a vehicle, driver, and fuel allowance.
