Salary
Your starting salary will be Rs 5306000 and you will be entitled to other allowances paid to public officers NOT FOR SA
from time to time.
The post is permanent and you will be eligible for a pension on retirement subject to changing policies on the payment of pensions
Responsibilities!
As an Archival Officer, you'll need to
appraise reconts in public authorities and prepare schedules for transfer to the National Archives, retention or destruction
prepore catalogues of collections
Kaise with donors and depositors of recards in public authorities and private individuals
advise and support users on how best to access and use archives
PERSONAL
respond to inquiries from the public, academics and other users
Identify ways of protecting and preserving collections
arrange for the acquisition of records
promote the work of the National Archives through COPY social media presentations, talks and visits
What to expect
You will be a permanent employee of the Department of National Archives and serve in our main office Colombo.
