CAREER GUIDANCE COUNSELLOR GRADE II – THE OPEN UNIVERSITY OF SRI LANKA – Nawala, Nugegoda.

QUALIFICATIONS:
(1) Holder of a Bachelor's Degree with First or Second Class from a recognized University/ HEI with four (04) years experience in the field of Student Affairs

(2) Good command of communication skills in English

Note: Preference will be given for those who have obtained Postgraduate qualification in the area of Human Resources Management or Counseling and/or experience in career guidance activities.
(Age should be not less than 22 years and not more than 45 years of age on the closing date of the applications.)

SALARY SCALE:
Career Guidance Counsellor Grade II: -
Rs. 85,305-3x2,400-92,505 (EB) 94,905-14x2,400-128,505 p.m. [U-AS 2 (II)]
The above salary scale is fully operative with effect from 01.01.2027, and the placement of the salary applicable to the post for the year 01.01.2026 will be made in accordance with the University Grants Commission Circular No. 02/2025 (i) dated 04.04.2025.

BENEFITS:
All permanent Appointees will become contributors to the Universities Provident Fund, contributing 10% of their monthly earnings, and the University contributing an amount equivalent to 7%. In addition, they will become contributors to the Employees' Trust Fund and the University Pension Scheme, under which the University will contribute 3% and 8% of the monthly earnings of the employees, respectively. Appointees will also be entitled to receive other allowances as approved by the Government.
