DIRECTOR – Sri Jayewardenepura General Hospital – Thalapathpitiya, Nugegoda

Eligibility

• Medical Officer or Dental Surgeon registered with Sri Lanka Medical Council.
• Possession of MD in Medical Administration from the Post Graduate Institute of Medicine (PGIM) with Board certification as a specialist in Medical Administration.
• Be not more than 60 years of age as at the closing date of applications.
• Have 7 years of experience in the administration and management.
• Demonstrate personal leadership, strategic planning, financial management, clinical governance quality, improvement and human resource management skills.

Preference will be given to the applicants who,

• Have experience in leading tertiary care hospital and Post Graduate training Institutions.
• Have a proven record in healthcare quality improvement, medical education, research, organizational development.

Key Responsibilities

• The director will be responsible for,
• Providing overall strategic and operational leadership of the hospital.
• Managing human resources, financial and physical resources effectively and efficiently.
• Ensuring compliance with statutory requirement, board policies and national healthcare standards.
• Developing partnership with government institutions, Universities, professional colleges and other stakeholders.

Terms of Appointment

• Permanent and Provident Fund Basis.
• The appointment will be made by the Sri Jayewardenepura General Hospital Board.
• Salary allowances and other benefits will be commensurate with qualifications, experience and the approved Scheme of Recruitment.
• The Sri Jayewardenepura General Hospital Board reserves itself the right to make/not to make appointment.
