General Manager – Singhalese Sports Club (SSC) – No. 35, Maitland Place, Colombo 07

Role Overview:

Reporting to the Honorary Secretary and the Executive Committee, the Selected Candidate must be a good Administrator with a pleasing personality and excellent/strong Public Relations specially to liaise with the Membership and all stakeholders of the Club. Lead the operations of a premier sports Club with an International ground, Restaurant and Bar. Responsible for driving revenue, ensuring world-class facilities, overseeing security and managing all outsourced services to deliver exceptional service to members and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily Club operations, including Cricket grounds, Sporting Facilities (indoor and outdoor), F&B, events and member services.
• Drive revenue growth through memberships, events, F&B, sponsorships and marketing initiatives.
• Ensure facilities are maintained to international standards, manage capital upgrades and repairs.
• Oversee security operations and safety compliances.
• Manage outsourced services (maintenance, catering, cleaning, landscaping, etc.) for quality and cost efficiency.
• Lead, motivate and develop staff to deliver high service standards.
• Maintain strong relationships with members, sponsors, sports bodies and the local community.
• Ensure compliance with all legal, licensing and health & safety requirements.
• Any other task that will be required of the club to maintain its standard, safety, security and profitability.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in hospitality, Sports / Facility Management or related field.
• Possess at least 15-20 years' experience at senior level in club management, with proven revenue and facility management success.
• Strong commercial acumen, leadership and communication skills.
