Candidate Profile

• A professional qualification in Banking and Finance from an accredited institution is required. A degree in Banking, Management, Finance, or an equivalent MBA is considered advantageous.
• A minimum of ten (10) years of demonstrable and progressive management experience in corporate or senior management positions within the Commercial Banking sector.
• Should possess hands-on experience in all fundamental banking functions including good knowledge in Credit, Recoveries, Operations, Information Technology, Marketing, Administration, Risk and Compliance.
• A comprehensive understanding of the regulatory framework and relevant regulations affecting
• both business operations and customer interactions is imperative, Exceptional leadership capabilities, strong business acumen, and the aptitude to efficiently manage, lead, and supervise multidisciplinary teams are required.
• The ability to excel in strategic thinking, embrace new perspectives, identify and simplify improved methods and processes, and exhibit creativity and vision is essential.
• Candidates should demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, along with
• analytical proficiency and numeracy capabilities. A proven ability to network affectively and demonstrate negotiation skills is necessary.
• The capacity to think innovatively to discover improved approaches for achieving business NOT FOR SA
• objectives is essential.
• Preferably below 55 years of age.
• Should be a Sri Lankan citizen.
